Privacy Policy for Puzzle Quest
Last updated: 9 May 2026
Information We Collect
Puzzle Quest collects minimal, non-personal data to provide its core functionality:
- Anonymous identifier — When you first open the app, an anonymous ID is created via Firebase Authentication. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information. It is used solely to authorize access to puzzle content.
- Puzzle progress — Your puzzle completion status, scores, achievements, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you sign in to Google Play Games Services, this data is also synced to Google's servers to enable cross-device play and cloud backup.
- Usage analytics — We collect anonymous usage data such as which puzzles you play, your preferred difficulty settings, completion times, and how you interact with the app. This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely to improve the app experience.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, or any other personally identifiable information.
Third-Party Services
Puzzle Quest uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob — Serves advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's privacy policy.
- Unity Ads — Serves advertisements through AdMob Mediation. Unity may collect device identifiers and usage data. See Unity's privacy policy.
- Google Play Games Services — Provides achievements, cloud save, and cross-device progress sync. When signed in, your game progress (puzzle completions, scores, in-progress puzzle states, achievements, and settings) is stored on Google's servers under your Google account. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Firebase — Provides anonymous authentication, cloud storage for puzzle images, a database for puzzle metadata, and anonymous usage analytics. Firebase may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and app usage statistics.
Please see Google's privacy policy for more details on Google services.
Data Storage & Security
Puzzle content (images, metadata) is hosted on Google Firebase servers. All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS. Your game progress is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to Google Play Games Services, your progress is also backed up to Google's cloud servers to enable cross-device synchronization.
Children's Privacy
Puzzle Quest is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The anonymous identifier created by Firebase is not linked to any personal data.
Data Deletion
You can delete all locally stored data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. To delete cloud-saved progress, you can remove Puzzle Quest from your Google Play Games settings. The anonymous Firebase identifier will be automatically cleaned up after a period of inactivity.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app and on our store listing.
